Come On

about

If David Bowie, The Replacement’s and Cheap Trick all hung out for a night to party (and maybe Rick Springfield showed up acting crazy and turned his amp up to 11) they might have come up with a song like this. A rocking call to wake up and be who we’re supposed to be right now, but also a subtle reminder that it takes some work and faith and just maybe the we makes us stronger. Like the song says…If you want to be sad you can sit in a room by yourself.

lyrics

What ya gonna do? Where you gonna go?
If you want to be sad you can sit in a room by yourself.
Are there things that you want when you’re looking for someone to love you?
What ya gonna do? Where you gonna go? Oh oh.

The King and the Queen are both high in their bed
Feeling alive but closer to dead
Maybe they need better friends
This can’t go on

Come On Come On
Come On Come On Come On

You can crawl you can run you can reach for the light
Hope for the hope when you’re too tired to fight
Come On baby Come On

Go ahead and run, if you need to run
Like an alien trying to live without dying alone
If you’re lost out in space and you wanted a place to be happy
Go ahead and run, if you need to run Oh Oh.

The King and the Queen say that they get to choose
The money is good it’s hard to refuse
Someone’s not telling the truth
This can’t go on

Come On Come On Come On Come On
Come On Come On Come On

You can crawl you can run you can reach for the light
Hope for the hope when you’re too tired to fight
Come On baby Come On
Hey!

The King and the Queen they have turned back the clocks
Buttoned the windows and changed all the locks
Maybe this time they will stop
This can’t go on

Come On Come On Come On Come On
Come On Come On Come On

You can crawl you can run you can reach for the light
Hope for the hope when you’re too tired to fight
Come On Come On

Come On Baby Come On

They paint paisley patterned pictures that shimmer with the 60’s mercurial blend of darkness and innocence, they mesh psychedelia and pop melodies together, they run rock muscle through the most danceable of tunes and they are the perfect blend of past and present. ... more
